The PROSPER Act and Community Colleges

On Friday, May 4th, the Hamm Consulting Group participated in a webinar hosted by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) government relations staff that examined the PROSPER ACT’s (H.R. 4508) current status, impact on community colleges and their students and the outlook for the passage of Higher Education Act (HEA) reauthorization legislation in 2018. Yuma Crossings National Heritage Area

CLIENT // Charles Flynn, Director

I have worked with Ron Hamm over the last 12 years to advance the Yuma, AZ riverfront redevelopment project. To date, we have achieved more than $100 million of public and private investment along seven miles of waterfront.

Ron’s contributions have been invaluable. He guided the effort to secure National Heritage Area designation and the funding associated with it. He worked with our delegation to pass a complicated land exchange legislation with the Bureau of Reclamation, which was critical to the city of Yuma controlling all riverfront land. He facilitated a major expansion of federal funding for wetlands restoration and helped secure $28 million in stimulus funds to build our new federal courthouse.

I can say without hesitation that the Yuma project simply would not have been successful without Ron’s steady, long-term involvment. I give Ron Hamm my highest recommendation.
