President

As the President of Hamm Consulting Group (HCG), Ron Hamm spearheads federal government relations, strategic counsel, and consulting services to a diverse clientele comprising education, municipal, and private sector entities. With a focus on delivering exceptional value to clients, Ron adopts a hands-on and collaborative approach to client management and provides expert advice on critical issues such as higher education, research and development, economic and community development, housing, tax, transportation, water infrastructure, broadband, public safety, and government marketing. 

Ron’s strategic thinking is instrumental in formulating and executing strategies to secure federal funding, legislation, and regulatory changes aligning with client priorities. His impressive track record includes pivotal contributions to securing essential federal funding and policy successes for municipal and higher education clients. 

 Notable achievements include facilitating funding and legislation to support the growth of the Alabama A&M University Research Institute, securing $120 million for the Cincinnati Riverfront Project, and aiding in the establishment of the first National Heritage Area west of the Mississippi River. Additionally, his involvement in the passage of federal legislation supported an $80 million downtown riverfront development project for one of HCG’s clients. Furthermore, Ron has played a pivotal role in securing federal funding for the development of a national museum in Memphis, Tennessee, commemorating a significant era in soul music in the United States, in addition to driving various projects that advance public safety, education, arts, and environmental restoration. 

 His academic accomplishments include a B.S. degree in finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, an M.B.A. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a professional certificate in Real Estate from Georgetown University. 

 Ron is affiliated with various organizations, serving as a member of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) Board of Visitors, Charter Member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., JGH Educational and Charitable Foundation, and Loudoun NAACP.
